A Rolleicord’s silent gaze through time.

What stories would this twin-lens legend tell, if it could speak? In the latest excerpt from The Analog Chronicles, we uncover how Franke & Heidecke’s Rolleicord shaped the everyday artistry of Parisian street photographers.

From quiet corners of Montmartre to bustling boulevards, these cameras captured fleeting glances and timeless moments. Their mirrored lenses reflected not only faces but the soul of an era—one frame at a time.

Curious about the Rolleicord’s journey? Visit us at Studio Harcourt, discover more stories, and see this icon up close.

A lens that changed portrait history forever.

Meet the Zeiss Ikon Contax I, paired here with the legendary Ernostar 1:1.8 f=85mm. This isn’t just a beautiful vintage camera. It’s a piece of photographic innovation that let 1930s artists capture sharp faces and dreamy backgrounds—decades before 'bokeh' was cool.

Who held this camera before us? Imagine the Parisian studios, the secret agents, the hopeful amateurs. Every dial and scratch tells a story.

Curious to see it up close? Pop by the museum this week and let us know which camera you’d love to see featured next! 📷

Tiny camera, huge story: meet Tessina.

Ever seen a camera that fits in your palm, yet holds a world of analog magic? The Tessina’s compact design and Swiss precision made it a favorite among spies, engineers, and curious collectors. Its pop-up viewfinder and 25mm f/2.8 lens were revolutionary—imagine capturing Parisian streets with something smaller than your wallet!

James Stewart’s lens changed movie history forever.
