Meet Georgia Semple ( ) ahead of 'Uncanny Nature', opening tonight at the gallery, from 7 to 10pm.

Working across oil, acrylic, embroidery, and collage, Georgia Semple (b. 1995, London) examines the spiritual cost of sin, the fragility of conviction, and the friction between personal faith and collective identity, drawing on Guyanese petroglyphic motifs and ancestral memory throughout.

She was first presented by The Bridge Gallery at Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2026.

UPCOMING | “What The Hands Know”, a duo show between Ava Binta Giallo and Bulumko Mbete

The gallery is pleased to present What the Hands Know, a duo exhibition bringing together for the first time (Germany) and .mbete (South Africa). Born in 1995, both artists develop practices grounded in material research and embodied knowledge. This exhibition marks Giallo’s first presentation with the gallery and Mbete’s second. Bringing together new textile works by Mbete and tempera paintings on canvas produced by Giallo between 2023 and 2025, the exhibition focuses on a shared question: how does the hand carry memory?
