A2Z Art Gallery

A2Z Art Gallery Spécialisée en art contemporain
(284)

A tour of our latest collaborated exhibition "Parrotgration" at Jiushi Art Space Shanghai.

Parrotgration views migration not as rupture, but as a beginning — a space where identities shift, meet, and evolve. Inspired by the parrots of Paris, symbols of adaptation and coexistence, the exhibition brings together artists from Asia and France whose works transform displacement into dialogue, and difference into shared imagination.

Let's dive into the narratives of 3 Vietnamese artists currently featured in "Une rose, mille mondes" at !

Both inspired by the famous quote from The Little Prince "What is essential is invisible to the eye", explores the concept of "the invisible essential," seeking the silent vibrations that the heart recognizes but the eyes cannot grasp. Meanwhile, .studio mirrors the Little Prince’s gentle clarity in her exquisite lacquer paintings. Through this meticulous traditional technique, which requires immense time and patience, she captures the quiet, nameless memories hidden beneath the surface of nature and human life.

Ma Desheng | Art Paris 2026
Booth C1 - A2Z Art Gallery

We are honored to present a rare 1991 ink on paper by Ma Desheng during Art Paris this year.

A self-taught and multidisciplinary artist, he developed an exacting practice of line from an early stage. Ink holds an essential place in his work: through it, he demonstrates a remarkable mastery of gesture, where each line, both precise and vibrant, carries a physical intensity and an almost meditative dimension. The use of ink thus becomes a space of concentration and energy, expressing a search for balance between force and restraint.

A founding member of the avant-garde Xing Xing (Stars) group in 1979, Ma Desheng played a pivotal role in liberating Chinese art from Maoist constraints. His work has been widely exhibited internationally and is held in major collections. In 2022, he was named Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture.
