Gallery of 300m2 / 3230sq.ft.

The Rue des Minimes, in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, carries a name rich in history, in homage to the Minimes convent, founded in 1435 by Saint Francis of Paule. It was in 2015 that Michael Timsit integrated this space of over 300 m² into the offer of Galeries Joseph. Jonathan Bertin

« French photographer Jonathan Bertin develops an impressionistic approach to photography, where movement, light and color take precedence over stillness. Rather than freezing the moment, his images capture its rhythm and fleeting nature, transforming everyday scenes into vibrant, almost painterly compositions.
Drawing inspiration from Impressionism, Bertin embraces blur and fluidity to reveal the poetic dimension of the ordinary. From his native Normandy to the dynamic streets of Seoul, his work creates a dialogue between places, sensations and memory. Through series such as Impressionism, he invites viewers to slow down and rediscover a sensitive attention to the present, where the simplest moments become deeply evocative.»

Le 5, rue Payenne in Paris has a rich and varied history. In 1642, the architect François Mansart bought the land and built his house on it, residing there until his death in 1666. In 1842, the building was raised by the jeweller Antoine Bret. Clotilde de Vaux, a figure of positivism and the muse of Auguste Comte, is supposed to have died there in 1846, although this association remains controversial.

« You Don’t Look Sick
At Foam in Amsterdam, Jasmijn Vermeeren presents a deeply personal yet universal exploration of invisible illness. Through photography, video and sculptural forms, the artist translates chronic pain into visual language, blurring the boundaries between body, perception and identity.
Her fragmented self-portraits disrupt the idea of a stable, readable body, revealing instead a space of tension between what is experienced and what is perceived. Moving beyond autobiography, the exhibition questions societal expectations around health, normality and legitimacy, inviting viewers to confront discomfort and rethink the act of seeing. In making the invisible visible, Vermeeren opens a necessary dialogue on vulnerability as both an intimate and political condition.»
