This Mumuye figure is currently on display at the gallery. Representing an ancestor, it captivates through the beauty of its expression and the magnificence of its posture. For many years, it was part of the great collection of Samuel Josefowitz — who also collected Giacometti sculptures. Seeing this figure, the connection feels entirely natural.
