05/02/2026
Saturday 28th Feb. 11.00am - 1.00pm
This workshop is suitable for all levels of photographic skill - whether you take photographs with your phone or use a larger camera. Participants should bring a notebook, or a device to take notes, and ideally bring some examples of photographs you have taken previously.
Importantly, you should bring your ideas, enthusiasm and creativity!
Whether photography projects are small or large, they all require a certain amount of thought and planning to be successful. This friendly and informal workshop introduces you to ways you can develop and sustain your personal photographic projects.
Examples of projects made in Wales will be used to highlight good ways of developing new photographic work.
Topics covered will include:
How to start your project - identifying your subject, choosing how you will photograph it, and setting project limits of time and scale.
Staying on track - creating your project portfolio, developing and editing it and gaining feedback on your project’s progress.
Knowing when to stop - deciding when you have enough good photographs, working out photo-sequencing, and deciding on final presentation.
Your workshop leads will be Paul Cabuts and Julian McKenny.
This workshop is free of charge with a maximum of 8 participants.
Booking before the event is essential to secure your place.
