Catching up on the Traitors and started this sketch on birch panel. I’ve loved working with these panels recently and thought I would try out the fineliners. Going to just go with the flow and take my time on this one - no real plan so I’m keen to see how it turns out and what I end up adding to it 🖤

Love how good these panels look with a light stain on the sides. Can hang as it is, or build a frame around it - great to have the choice.

I’ve added a few coats of fixative and an isolation layer to the charcoal. I’ll add some gloss varnish tomorrow.

No need for glass these panels are fully sealed and protected 🖤

Calling this one done now. Used some gold pan pastel and some coliro metallic colours for final details which really pop in the light.

Cant wait to get this sealed and varnished to add real depth to those darker areas 🖤

Lovely rainy walk with my good friend Tina today, who has so much of this beautiful scenery right on her doorstep.

We seen these beautiful swans and their cygnets 🦢, and just look at this gorgeous storybook oak tree! 😍🌳
