Remember it is the Steam and Stationary Engine event at the Alford Heritage Museum on Sunday 11-3pm. This engine will be there, it's one of our regular attendees do you know which one it is?

Sunday 18th October is the museums annual Steam and Stationary Engine event, I hope to have some extra steam engines join us this year and a good selection of stationary engines as well.
Please note the event starts at 11am and goes on till 3pm, that is an hour earlier than our usual opening times. The museum will be open from 11am to 4pm so you will have plenty of time to look round the museum as well as viewing all the engines.

Just a reminder that if you have not been into the museum this year to see the exhibition "More than a Museum" you have a month till we close.
For anyone who doesn't know the exhibition covers the history of firstly the Alford Mart and then the 35 years of the museum and then touches on the current and future plans. Plus you get all the normal displays and exhibits.

Its the museum Model Exhibition on Sunday (20th) from 12-4pm, we are expecting lots of exhibitors with some excellent exhibits.
The models in the picture are part of the museum collection, the tractor is mainly made out of wood and the detail is amazing.
Remember it is the Grampian Transport Museum Autojumble starting at 9am and both the Bus Collection@Alford and the Alford Valley Community Railway are open for Doors Open Day so there is something for everyone in Alford on Sunday. Why not pop in one of those in the morning and then come over to the Heritage Museum in the afternoon, see you Sunday.
