Thank you to everyone who came to the Alford Heritage Museum today to join us in celebrating our 35th anniversary, especially all the drivers of vehicles for our parade round the village.
Thank you to Greame Barber Butchers Alford for providing hot pies for lunch for the drivers of the vehicles.
Our next event will be our annual tractor run from the museum on Sunday 28th June.

It's the Museum 35th Anniversary vintage vehicle parade on Saturday (2nd May) starting from the Museum at 11am, we are hoping to cover quite a lot of Alford so everyone should have a chance to see us.Here is the route:
On leaving the Museum half will travel up Fraser Road, down Kingsford Road, Greystone Road and David McLean Avenue. The other half will go up Main Street then Balfour Road to join up with the other half on Donside Road. We shall head towards the school turning right before we get there and come back down to the A944 and turning right back towards the village. Down Gordon Road turn right then left, through the carpark and back onto Main Street, left into Stewart Road left onto Aberdeen Road right at the garage, past Balfluig Castle and back into Alford on Castle Road, half the vehicles will come up the estate and the rest will come up Main Street.
Once back to the Museum we will park up in the paddock and visitors can view the vehicles, please access via the Museum main entrance and remember entry is at 1991 prices £1 for adults and 60p for children.
Our new exhibition "More than a Museum" can be viewed in the Museum as well as all the other exhibits and all for £1 what better value can you find.

See you at the museum next Saturday (2nd May) 11am for the start of the parade. Remember entry to the museum is at 1991 prices for one day only.

Hi have you got your pre 1991 vehicles ready for our 35th Anniversary Parade on Saturday 2nd May leaving the museum at 11am. If you have are you booked in as there will be hot pies for all the pre booked drivers at dinner time. To book in email [email protected] or phone 01464861098 (evenings)
We plan to cover as much of Alford village on the run before returning to the museum where the vehicles and the exhibition "More than a Museum" can be viewed.
Remember entry is at 1991 prices, Adults £1 Children 60p
Anyone who is a paid up member of the Friends of the Museum of course gets in free.

Did you know the admission charges when the Heritage Museum first opened?
Well for our 35th Anniversary event on Saturday 2nd May, for one day only, we are going back to 1991 prices, so not only will you get to see all the vehicles in our parade but you get to view the museum and all for £1 adults and 60p for children.
Parade starts from the museum at 11am.
