Blencathra in full winter condition is a magnificent sight.
Unlike Helvellyn, whose edges are obscured by the summits shadow in the winter sunset, they are caught by the setting sun, the sharp aretes contrasted with the wind sculpted cornices on the rounded fell top and the distant Pennines are visible in the distance.
This very large oil will be available soon on my website, it will. E 110 x 80 cm framed approximately.. More photos to follow soon.

It's around a year since I climbed up to Tod Crag above Windermere and photograph the Lake from this delightful little vantage point. This little painting is one memory of it, looking down Windermere towards Newby bridge. It will be available to buy on my website:
