Interested in the history of Amersham? Come along to a new talk at - 'Amersham in the 1960s and 1970s' June 17 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The 1960s & 1970s saw dramatic changes in British society and these were reflected here in Amersham. The growth in housing, changes in shopping & retail habits and in transport all combined to make Amersham a vibrant community nestling in the Chilterns at the end of the Met Line. Pete Healy gives a flavour of what life was like over these important decades.

To book go to Events on the Museum website https://amershammuseum.org/event/amersham-in-the-1960s-and-1970s/

Last Sunday, at the Museum Makers got stuck in with 3D cottage model making. The group made panels from templates and transformed sheets of card into creative cottages. We had castles, a candy house and a delightful home with 3D furniture and lace curtains inside. Join us next month on the 14th of June for outdoor creativity with oil pastels!

At We were delighted to host our first Business Breakfast this morning, with around 30 local attendees. With short talks from Earl Howe, Gary Grant, our director Briony Hudson, and chair Martin Day, and a chance to look around the museum, there was a buzz of conversation about future collaborations, shared marketing and follow-up events. Thanks to the attendees for your enthusiasm and to for supplying the delicious pastries!
