We are very excited to be welcoming another grandchild later this summer. Our eldest daughter Liz and her lovely husband are expecting a baby boy and we can’t wait to meet him.

🩵 My exciting news 🩵 I’m expecting a baby boy at the end of August. This might explain why I’ve been a little quieter than normal but I will continue painting and doing what I love the most.

Fridays are generally studio day for me, a day for me to get messy and creative , making new pieces that will go with me to tomorrow .

Two new devore pieces framed up today .
These started off as a piece of plain white silk/viscose velvet, they were then painted and using etching fluid, the flock was removed to create the design. Finished off with a bit of hand embroidery.
These are small framed pieces @£45 and are now available in the gallery.

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday doing a silk painting demonstration for Keswick Art Society.
Such a lovely group, very attentive and appreciative and they hopefully go away and have a go themselves.
I took my very good friend with me, who was a complete star taking care of the driving and clearing up my mess, hopefully she’s managed to get the yellow Brusho off her hands 😬 afterwards, we walked into Keswick and coffee and cake was consumed before travelling home.
