We’re excited to introduce the incredible Thai artist Paitoon Jumee to the gallery!

Born in 1978, Paitoon studied at Thai Vijitsil Art School before graduating from Thaï Pochang University in 1998. His artistic training explored a wide range of disciplines including sculpture, xylography, and lithography — all of which continue to influence his striking paintings today.

Paitoon’s powerful portraits are full of energy, emotion, and humanity. Inspired by both the people he paints and traditional Buddhist art, his large-scale works combine vibrant colour, layered mark-making, stencil, sketching, and collage to create deeply expressive faces that seem to tell their own stories.

Every painting invites you to look beyond the surface and discover the hidden thoughts and emotions within.

We can’t wait to share more of this extraordinary artist’s work with you!
