🧙‍♀️ Join us for some Halloween fun at Green Lane Museum! 🧙‍♂️

On Monday 26th October at 3pm we will have storyteller, Stephen O'Hara, sharing the origins of Halloween and looking at how our traditions here have influenced and shaped how Halloween is celebrated in the USA.

Then on Tuesday 27th October join us from 1pm - 3pm for some spooky crafts suitable for all the family.

Both events are FREE and everyone is welcome!

🏛️ FREE SITE TOUR, 3pm SATURDAY 17th 🏛️

Well that's the end of week 1 at the Townparks community excavation in Ballycastle with QUB - Archaeology at Queen's.

We continue to be dogged by changable weather, making access to the site increasingly mucky (sorry about the mess St Patrick's & St Brigid's Primary School & Nursery Unit!).

That said, the structure in trench 2 is resolving itself nicely, giving Dr Colm Donnelly something to be pleased about! Meanwhile the reasoning for the cuts in the clay in trench 1 remain elusive and trench 3 is turning into a nice wee swimming pool!

We'll be offering a wee tour of the site tomorrow, Saturday 17th, at 3pm. Meeting in the further carpark on Fairhill Street (up where the houses end, next to the livestock yard).

Join us to hear Colm explain why and how our site was chosen, and look at some of the artefacts recovered in week 1. For those with wellies and a willingness to wad through mud, we'll then go down and explore the site itself.

Coleraine’s Horrid History kicks off on Friday 30th October with the opening of our long awaited exhibition and a FREE Horrid History walking tour of Coleraine Town Centre (booking required).

On Saturday 31st October join us for our FREE Halloween Family Fun Day - enjoy facepainting, spooktacular crafts, horrid characters, fire eaters, music and more!
