💗 Caring for Crathes this summer ⚠️

We love Crathes and as part of our care for this special place, we’ll be carrying out essential conservation and improvements over the summer.

You’ll see:
🌳🚶🏻Replacement of the Coy Burn boardwalk from 15 June.
This will require the closure of trail sections and diversions on the Red Squirrel and Kingfisher Trails, including the area to the south of the Mill Pond.

🏰🟢 Conservation work on the castle from 22 June.
Scaffolding will be erected on the north and west facades, but the castle will remain open as always.

We’ll continue to share updates throughout the works and will announce further exciting improvements later in the year!

💗 We’re grateful for the support of all our visitors, staff, volunteers and supporters in helping our charity care for and share Scotland’s precious heritage.

🌿 Enjoy a bright start to the season at Crathes
Open daily – plan your visit at https://brnw.ch/VisitCrathes.May26

💕 Crathes is beautiful as the seasons change. 💮
The radiant colours of the famous June borders and a warmth in the air make it a lovely time to explore the castle, gardens and woodland trails at your own pace before the height of the season.

🏰 Inside the castle, the painted Renaissance ceilings are stunning in the early summer light, and the self-guided tour lets you take time to enjoy the castle’s atmosphere and rich collections at your own pace.

🍰 Afterwards, have a browse around the shop for unique gift ideas, then stop to recharge and treat yourself to a speciality coffee and fine cake at Cafe1702.

Please note: The castle, tearoom & gift shop are open daily, Wild Wood Adventure Play is open Sat & Sun only until summer.
