Art is for all, home is where the ART is.
Barnsley thrived on the valuable skills of artists during the industrial revolution, the locals of Barnsley were not all destined for collieries or mills, some became very talented wood block carvers, fabric printers, and artistic designers being trained in Fairfield House Art School for the textile industry - art IS in your blood.
Helping emerging artists and encouraging children to be creative, whilst engaging with the greater community is at the heart of Art ‘N’ Abart. Not only a gallery and platform to sell online, but also a community, a place to sit and have a chat, meet friends and maybe commission art of significant emotional connection for their own home.
