J. Some of the machinery is in working order and there are regular demonstrations. Audio guides are available free of charge and guided tours are provided when possible. An introduction to the city’s development is given in ‘Bath at Work: 2000 Years of Earning a Living and an exhibition on invention and the landscape of working Bath, ‘Bath in Particular’, is on show in the ground floor Hudson Gallery. Successful and popular couple inherit antiquated and faltering small cinema along with antiquated and faltering staff to wit: Mr Quill ( played by Peter Sellers) projectionist with a drink problem, Mrs Fazackerlee( played by Margaret Rutherford!) who keeps the books and Old Tom played by Bernard Miles. You might well ask what happened to Young Tom. Anyway hilarious consequences result in this post-war big screen, small cinema masterpiece! Form an orderly queue at the Cinema doors!
