John Bunyan Museum John Bunyan Museum tells the story of the Bedford man who wrote The Pilgrim’s Progress, one of the greatest novels in the English language.

John Bunyan Museum tells the story of the life, works, and times of Bedfordshire's famous son, John Bunyan (1628- 1688), who wrote The Pilgrim's Progress and other religious and spiritual works of literature. During his remarkable life Bunyan was a soldier, tinker, preacher and dissenter. He spent 12 years in Bedford prison for illegal preaching and it was here that he wrote his masterpiece.

Ridgmont Station Heritage Centre is open for the week from Wednesday. Opening hours are Wednesday – Friday 11:00 – 3:00. Free entry! Donations are welcome.

Guided tours provided by the fantastic Friends of Ridgmont Station volunteers.

Tea/coffee, soft drinks, homemade cakes & scones available served by the Friends of Ridgmont Station.

A range of souvenirs and locally made items are on sale in the Gift Shop too!

All just 20 minutes by train on the Marston Vale Line from Bedford or Bedford St Johns stations. Bedfordshire Bus Pass holders travel half price!
