Hard not to be inspired by the spirit of the St Pat’s For All Parade St. Pat's for All we attended recently in Sunnyside, Queens, NYC!

A little background: St Pat’s For All Parade celebrates the diversity of Irish and Irish American communities in New York.

The march began as a response to the exclusion of Irish LGBTQIA+ communities from the Fifth Avenue parade and has now been running for over 25 years!

It continues to be an inclusive and progressive celebration of Irish culture and solidarity in the USA. Their motto, “cherishing all the children of the nation equally,” comes from the 1916 Easter Proclamation of the Irish Republic.

In a world where it often feels like nothing is being done, and where the lack of accountability is so astonishing it can be depressing, it was refreshing to hear people speaking loudly and clearly about what they stand against. The camaraderie and sense of community was so uplifting in this climate.

We were lucky enough to take this trip as part of a project we’re working on with the Irish Arts Center Irish Arts Center 🙌, Rua Red Rua Red 🙌, Maoliosa Boyle 🙌, & Jonathan Cummins 🙌 .

We’ll be sharing much more on that soon. For now, save the date: we’ll be holding an exhibition there in early September 2026 (around Labor Day...a good way to remember it!)

Disclaimer: This video does not cover every speaker or group at the march (it was hard to fit all the vibes in) but hopefully gives a good general sense of the electric atmosphere❤️🎉.

Side note: We also came home with so many flyers, pamphlets, whistles, and flags- you know we love grassroots info spreading....
Additional side note: Watch till the end to see Mayo Dog and unspecified threat (but adorable) dog 😂. DM us if we missed any tags!

The IMPACT that this mammoth cut is going to have here is so depressing to think about.. The amount of mental health services, community groups, rural initiatives, young projects .. being affected, the amount of jobs lost... absolutely horrendous.
Come on Northern Ireland Executive, do something..

If you haven’t already heard, NICVA’s big campaign to put pressure on government, both in Westminster and here at home is well underway!

Here’s the amazing Traitors superstar Rachel Duffy backing the campaign at Stormont recently. 🎉 (Side note: ! ) Update: She won! Yay!

WBBNI were there too, standing with the sector to oppose a 64% funding cut that threatens jobs, vital services and support for thousands across Northern Ireland.

Cuts of this scale would never be accepted elsewhere and they must not be accepted here.
These services are lifelines for people facing disability, illness, caring responsibilities and barriers to work.

The campaign is calling on the UK Government and the NI Executive to:

• reverse the 70/30 funding split
• protect services through 2026/27
• commit to people-centred, co-designed funding

Northern Ireland deserves better.
Head to www.nicva.org/ for more info.

We were delighted to be invited as this year’s programmers for Law on Film, presented in collaboration with and .

For the programme we selected Born in Flames, Lizzie Borden’s 1983 intersectional feminist docufiction, a film that continues to resonate with the social and political questions we navigate in the north of Ireland. Its energy and ideas have long shaped how we think about collective organising, resistance and imagining better futures.

The evening opened with our short film An Mór Ríoghain (The Morrigan), created in 2019 during the campaign to decriminalise abortion in Northern Ireland. The film reflects on struggle, protection and the mythologies that rise during times of change.

After the screenings we gathered in the Moot Court Room for a conversation hosted by Professor Aoife O’Donoghue with Array members Laura O’Connor .0.connor and Alessia Cargnelli .

Law on Film is a new annual collaboration between the Queen’s University Belfast School of Law and QFT. It is led by Norah Burns, Marisa McVey and Richard Summerville and supported by through the BFI FAN Film Exhibition Fund with support from .

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the night & helped make it so special!
