General Dannatt is giving a talk on the Korean War in the Lisburn Civic Centre on Wednesday 11th March. He's just written a book on Korea. The talk is in aid of SSAFA. There is a reception at 6pm before the talk.

My thanks again to the B*H for their assistance in laying a wreath on Sunday in remembrance of those who fought, died and were captured at the Battle of Happy Valley Korea January 1951. The layer of snow added to the event as it was on that fateful Battlefield

On our small Korean Display, a shirt worn by a POW with the names of his comrades embroidered with the Regimental Badge, a hat, bag and rice cup belonging to the then Captain Majury later General Majury of the Korean Player Book that is in the Regimental Chapel in St Anne`s, actual maps of the battle areas of Happy Valley and Imjin, photographs of POW`s and programmes of events in the camps, the Trooper Empire pride taking the RUR to Korea and homecoming photographs. A list of all those Killed and those taken prisoner is available to view. The names on the shirt, see below all have been identified most were captured in January 1951 as I lay the wreath I will also remember those who were POW`s
