We have been chosen as the Lincolnshire Co-op Community Champions, which means that we will receive a donation in March next year thanks to the generosity of Co-op customers. Every donation (large and small) helps us continue running Bilsthorpe's Heritage Museum as a free and inclusive place for villagers and visitors to enjoy a hot drink and a chat as well as learning about the mining and social history of the village and community. We really appreciate the support that we receive.

Tuesday’s service of remembrance at the end of Pit Lane was very poignant and well attended. We were overcome by the number of friends who came to the museum for tea, coffee and cakes, the atmosphere was buzzing as memories and stories were shared of those men who were lost and those who will remember that sad day forever. We would like to thank Alistair who led the service.
