Eid Mubarak to everyone in our communities celebrating today! MAC wishes you and your loved ones a blessed Eid filled with peace, health and happiness 🙏✨

For Eid al-Adha, we're looking back at this beautiful mural by Haseebah Ali, 'Garden of Paradise'. An original MAC commission, the pomegranates featured in the design symbolise one of Islam's heavenly fruits, while the tree and its blossoms represent MAC's surroundings in Cannon Hill Park.

🪴Explore Genevieve Robertson: Under the Orange Sticks of the Sun with us!

This series, Monument Creek Wildfire Botanicals, was created in 2025 from Robertson's multi-season field research at the Monument Creek Wildfire.

Focusing on plants such as fireweed, devil's club and thimbleberry - species long central to Indigenous food, medicine and land stewardship - she created a palette of pigments from these local botanical as well as mineral materials, which play a central role in her work.

By including the materials gathered from the environments she has researched, Robertson positions the materials as active storytellers within the exhibition.

Pop down to explore today | Open until Sun 5 July | Tue - Sun, 11am - 5pm | First Floor Gallery | Free entry, donations welcome

The exhibition will explore interconnection between natural and industrial histories, vegetal intelligence and ecological trauma.
