The town’s longest-running artist led space, Blott Studio, has supported many local and regional emerging artists - long established and respected history of diverse events that have attracted visitors from all over the world. A frontrunner in the Blackpool art scene as for many years there was only the town’s municipal Grundy Gallery, the group was initially founded to address the lack of opportunities, studio and exhibition spaces for contemporary artists in the region and to effect the beginning of a contemporary ‘arts scene’ in Blackpool. Blott Artist Studios,’ ‘Blott Studio & Artist Collective’ now simply Blott Studio - a private business since 2006 has over 17 years, provided a space where artists work, talk and exhibit.
