Ive not been too far recently but ive had a mini obsession with the late Spring snow in the Northern Corries of Cairngorm and Braeriach.

This image "Last Light" taken from Cul Mor was recently shortlisted for the Landscape category in the Scottish Nature Photography awards.

Perhaps not a medal winner this time but it's the area of Assynt where this was taken, that's the real champion.

I'm always fascinated by the Cairngorms and it's corries in Winter.
Shapeshifting day by day, hour by hour, and indeed as you travel up Strathspey from Grantown to Kingussie.
The angle gently morphing from gentle rolling shapes to the scoured craggy corries.
