This week on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 12-4pm visit the 'Fragments' exhibition at the Rest House.

This exhibition highlights the significance of textiles in storytelling, questions what belongs in a museum, and why makers are often overlooked in favour of collectors.

During 2025 over forty participants, all from different walks of life took part in tapestry workshops. Their work was inspired by our Achilles tapestry at Selly Manor and its intriguing connection to a tapestry at the National Trust’s Packwood House.

Origami Workshop | Sunday 21st June | 10.30 – 12.30

Step into a quiet moment of making in this workshop for beginners and curious creatives, where paper folds become stories and shapes take form in your hands.

Guided with care, you’ll learn simple techniques to create beautifully crafted coasters that sit within a box, using designer paper created by artist Rakha Madahar. Perfect to take home or gift with meaning.

Ideal for anyone seeking a relaxing summer activity, a gentle introduction to paper craft, or a moment of calm after a busy week. Whether you're exploring creative hobbies or looking for a unique workshop near you, this session offers a space to slow down, fold with intention, and connect through making.

Tickets: £35.00 per person (includes entry to Selly Manor Museum - a beautiful Tudor house, which was restored and moved to Bournville Village by George Cadbury.)
Call 0121 472 0199 to book.

All materials will be provided. Enjoy a hot drink whilst you create.
Please note - this workshop is not suitable for children.
