⚠️ A quick travel update for anyone planning to visit us today.

Blackwell – the Arts & Crafts house remains open as usual today.

Due to a road closure, visitors are currently unable to turn off the A592 onto the B5360 towards Blackwell.

If you’re travelling by car, please continue past Storrs Hall, turn off at Longtail Hill and follow the A5074 towards Blackwell. Even though you may see road closure signs along this route, this route is still accessible to reach Blackwell.

The road closure is expected to remain in place until at least 3.30pm.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you to Blackwell today.

We’re loving all the creativity coming out of the Guild Room this May half term 🖍️

From stained glass-inspired drawings to colourful collages — and even an amazing Spiderman drawing, it’s been so lovely seeing visitors of all ages getting creative during their visit.

Family activities continue until Saturday 30 May, and today we’re also running our Make Something Useful/Beautiful drop-in activity inspired by our current exhibition.

The Winter Craft Fair returns to Blackwell this November — and we’re doing things a little differently this year...

Applications are now open to be part of our 2026 Winter Craft Fair.

For the first time, we’re expanding across two consecutive weekends, each featuring a different selection of makers, creating even more opportunities for makers to showcase their work in a truly special setting.

Set within one of the UK’s most beautiful Arts & Crafts houses, this is a chance to connect with an engaged audience of craft and design lovers in the lead-up to the festive season.

📅 13–15 and 20–22 November
⏳ Applications close Sunday 7 June. We look forward to receiving your submissions.
