Some ghosts may say we're haunted, others just go about their day. It's a wonder what they get up to when we're not looking 🤷‍♀️

Braemar Castle in 1975 and 2026.

The other day we had a lovely visit from a Norwegian couple who last visited Braemar Castle while on their honeymoon in 1975. It was great to see them back at the castle with their daughter this week. They did a fantastic job recreating the original photo from back in the day!

Great to see the Invercauld Highlanders representing the clan in Edinburgh the other day!

We are so excited for them to march at Braemar Castle on Sunday 24th May for our Heritage Fayre.

Nice to see the local Invercauld Highlanders from Aberdeenshire taking part in the 2026 Edinburgh Tartan Parade Scotland yesterday. This wonderful event brings together 2,500 participants, including pipe bands, clans, dancers and musicians from across Scotland, in a vibrant celebration that showcases the country’s rich heritage, tartans, culture and inclusivity.

Today we remember the 81st anniversary of VE Day, Victory in Europe Day, commemorating the end of the Second World War on 8 May 1945.

A day of celebration for many, but also one of remembrance for those who served, sacrificed, and never returned home.

Lest we forget.
