Bridlington Pottery

Bridlington Pottery Bridlington Pottery seeks to create quality functional ware - tankards to tea cups. After a hiatus pursuing the pottery as a hobby - we're back.

Here at Bridlington Pottery - we seek to create quality functional and decorative ware; from tankards to tea cups. We've been firing clay for over three decades, alternating our interest between business and hobby. Lately - since the repair of one of our electric kilns - we've been designing products; now we're starting to put them out on the market. We fire using electric and gas, experimenting w

ith local clays and making many of our own glazes. Throwing in earthen and stone ware - as well as porcelain; we use two manual kick wheels, based from our oak-frame workshop on Sewerby Cliffs. Our key interest lies in the Leach tradition of Japanese functional ware; this means every piece is unique and handcrafted, no molds or factory techniques. However we extend our pieces all the time, make everything from Ocarinas to pagan runes. Our products are available at local shops and through Esty - please checkout our page for the full listings.
