Anna Barlow transforms moments of indulgence into exuberant ceramic sculptures balancing beauty, excess, and decay. Melting ice creams, piped porcelain icing, and collapsing confectionery blur the line between celebration and disruption, capturing fleeting pleasures permanently in clay.
Working with porcelain, Anna embraces unpredictability as heat and gravity soften and reshape each piece during firing. Rooted in rituals of consumption and nostalgia, her sculptures are playful yet unsettling, luxurious yet fragile objects suspended between fantasy, memory, and material transformation.
