This year the Royal Society of Portrait Painters opened a new portrait award - a drawing prize and open call - The RP Drawing Prize. Instead of entering one of my more technical works, I chose this portrait of my nephew, Eli, wearing all his dress up clothes. I love it because it's colourful and shows Eli's character. Who knows whether I'll get anywhere, but I think I entered the right piece. Pro markers and pencil on paper. 63 x 35 cm
