A bit late today sorry. This picture is of the late John Marks, Chairman of the Burford Charity Trustees. We have 19 Almshouses in total, three of which are in Windrush Close. OCC stripped the Stonesfield slates from their properties and replaced them with imitation slates. John together with the Town Council and Burford and District Society led a campaign to prevent this from happening. It failed
