A recent website order for a BIG print - an A1 Limited Edition of "Summer Storm No.3" to a customer who had simply seen my work in a holiday home, visited my website, fell in love with my work, made a website chat enquiry and then placed an order straight away.

This comforted me to know that the website is not only working better than ever before, but it's also being used by customers confident enough to make bigger purchases without worry.

Caption "I'm from Cornwall originally so I'm used to seeing huge winter Atlantic waves exploding over the Cornish coast, but it's much rarer to see 'big' seas here in Ynys Môn, despite the regular gales and storms. There simply isn't the 'fetch' of the Atlantic Ocean to allow such big waves to build here.

It's therefore always exciting when the sea 'kicks off' here in North Wales, and in a golden sunset, a building storm drove some powerful swell to the west coast of Ynys Môn. Here at Porth y Post near Trearddur, I had to put all my weight onto my tripod, in a crazy gale, to keep the telephoto lens vaguely steady.

The tide was slowly ebbing so after half an hour or more of studying these amazing scenes, the crashing waves seemed to reduce in power and drama, and I was free to leave the scene!"

“Somewhere, Under the Rainbow” Llanddwyn
I’m delighted to have just sold the first print in the A1 Edition of this dramatic meteorological moment at Ynys Llanddwyn. Indeed this lovely couple have several of my prints already, and have decided to upgrade another image, “Swellies Whirlpool” from an A2 Edition to an A1 Edition, so David & Siân’s house is now looking like a Glyn Davies Gallery 😃
“After my low-tide swim in a tiny west facing cove at Llanddwyn Island, we were caught in a torrential rainstorm but very shortly afterwards were blessed with the most amazing, brilliantly rich sunset that created a spectacular rainbow over Caernarfon Bay and the Welsh mountains beyond. I spent perhaps ten minutes trying to find the right composition to get the most from the rare circular rainbow. It has been a thoroughly lovely day, meeting good people, enjoying the company of my good lady, and enjoying an invigorating cold dip.”

Just to say NICE ONE Ben Walker, for covering my gallery whilst I'm away and for yesterday, selling one of my Limited Edition A2 prints of "Slate Painting" - it takes a lot of courage to stand in for an artist to sell their work but being a portrait & wedding photographer I had belief that your customer skills would be good, and being a photographer you "know" what makes good photographic art works.

I know you were very nervous before starting in my gallery but I have also heard how much you have started to emjoy the process. All good!

If anyone else wants to meet this lovely gentleman and boost his sales whilst I'm away, you have just this weekend to do so. Say Hi to Ben for me and we'd both be delighted if you fancy making a purchase too :-)

Absolutely thrilled, and to be honest grateful, to have sold the HUGE A0+ Limited Edition of “Blood Moon Rising” Carneddau, No.1 of 5, that has been on display in my Caernarfon gallery.

This print measures 5ft x 4ft and has so much impact when seen in real life! Just a couple of weeks ago I also sold the first of the slightly smaller A1 Edition, so the Blood Moon really is rising, in popularity :-)

Indeed December turned out to be a very good month overall, in no small part due to this sale, but finally, I’ve seen two months in a row with better sales than this time last year. I pray sales continue to improve after the hardest year in decades.
