This is my first (and let’s face it, probably last due to my complete inability to look like a normally functioning human 🙄) painting reveal. Why I’m grinning like a complete plonker is anyone’s guess.

ANYONE FANCY AN ALOE VERA PLANT?!

I’ve inadvertently become an Aloe Vera breeder 😬, and I’ve got a squillion pups that I’ve repotted and are looking for new homes.

I can definitely attest to Aloe being super easy to look after as I can usually kill off any house plant in a matter of days. I basically forget all about it and then give it a good drink when I remember (once every 1-2 months).

My aloe veras have been a god send for all the burns I get attempting to cook. A known natural healer for all types of burns and skin irritations.

Help yourself from outside the gallery.

When I paint under the expert guidance of Peter Luti Artist on Wednesdays I follow his style and technique and get lovely structured and tight paintings, so when I paint on ma tod I like to loosen up for the contrast.

If I do enough of both at some point they might merge together to create something entirely different, but at the moment I’m loving exploring a variety of practices! Every day’s an education!!

Stay creative, art lovers 🥰

I painted this dinky wee loch scene and asked my son if it needed a boat or a house in it…… his answer was ‘a boathouse’.

So that’s what he got.

‘Mum, I meant a boat that is also a house’

😬

I still called it ‘The Boathouse’ but. Sorry, son.

We are delighted to welcome award winning artist, Moy Mackay to our exhibiting family. Her gorgeous felted paintings were so well packed it took me 2 hours, 3 coffees, 1 p*e stop and several choruses of ‘Mum, you’re blocking the shot’ before they were unpacked.
Here’s the full morning condensed into 30 seconds 👍👍

All packaging is either re-used or recycled. Save the planet an’ aw that.

One of my favourite parts of the process is applying the first coat of varnish…. the colours pop, the darks deepen and the lights brighten. Two more coats for maximum protection and then they’re done!

I have little Lutis in the gallery with me today being very creative. The biggest one has been painting away like mad all day. And has managed to finish a lovely piece which is hanging next to her mum’s and nonno’s paintings. Excellent palette too. I’m sending her up to Peter Luti Artist to give him some lessons.

A productive day painting some wee loch view scenes. Had to do it on my tod as Peter Luti Artist inconveniently absconded on our designated dad-daughter day to get new wheels on his ancientmobile.

New work by Peter Luti Artist including 'Resting on the Fence'.

Peter's landscapes do not tend to stay with us for long, so it's great to have a lovely new collection for whatever time they're here.
