This brand-new exhibition invites you to explore Cambridge as a town grappling with change. By the late 19th century, it had been reshaped by rapid growth, shifting industries, and an evolving streetscape.

Featuring familiar and forgotten views of Cambridge, captured by local artists in oil, watercolour, and sketch.

Opens Saturday 13th June.

We are excited to share details of our next exhibition, "Portraits of Cambridge: A Town in Transition." Saturday 13 June - Monday 5 October. 🖼️

Explore Cambridge at the turn of the 20th century through the eyes of the artists who captured changing streetscapes and demolished buildings of a town grappling with change.

This exhibition features newly restored works by Mary "Polly" Greene, and works by Marion Seward, Robert Farren and others who bore witness to Cambridge's transition.

ALMOST SOLD OUT

Imagine being guided through the many rooms of the 17th-century Museum building… meeting magical, mythical, and mystical beasts. 🐲

Through a rich, though occasionally challenging, mixture of stories, poetry, sound, voice, music and movement, this show explores the idea of Beasts in the widest possible sense.

Encounters, the Cambridge-based collaborative theatre group makes their debut at the Museum of Cambridge with a dramatic promenade performance.

Across three nights, 18th-20th June the Museum will come alive with beasts from distant times, distant places, and local tales.
