Calling all creatives, heritage practitioners, and organisations working in Gaelic! Applications are now open for Cruthaich Earra-Ghàidheal, a new place-based award supporting work rooted in Gaelic language and culture.

Duaisean Cruthaich Earra-Ghàidheal Awards 🌿

Cuir iarrtas a-steach an-dràsta fhèin airson Cruthaich Earra-Ghàidheal, sgeama ùr dhuaisean do dh’fhileantaich agus luchd-ionnsachaidh Ghàidhlig, ag amas air raon farsaing de dhòighean-dèiligidh gus saothair ùr chruthachail an lùib cànan is dualchas na Gàidhlig a leasachadh a chur air chomas.

Bidh an sgeama dhuaisean seo a’ tairgse dusan duais uile-gu-lèir: 3 duaisean de £1000 an urra thairis air a h-uile gin de na ceithir sgìrean-comhairle ann an Earra-Ghàidheal is Bòd.

Mas e fileantach - Gàidheal no neach-ionnsachaidh na Gàidhlig - a th’ annad agus tu a’ fuireach ann an Earra-Ghàidheal, ag obair mar neach-ealain no neach-dualchais agus an obair chruthachail agad stèidhichte air cànan is dualchas na Gàidhlig, agus àite, mar neach fa leth, ann an com-pàirteachas no mar bhuidheann, cuir a-steach an-diugh fhèin!

Cruthaich Earra-Ghàidheal Awards 🌿

Apply now for Cruthaich Earra-Ghàidheal, a new Place-based award scheme for native Gaelic speakers and fluent learners, aiming to enable a wide range of approaches to developing new creative works focused on Gaelic language and culture.

This awards scheme will offer 12 awards in total: 3 awards of £1000 across each of the 4 local council areas in Argyll and Bute.

If you’re a fluent Gaelic speaker or learner living in Argyll, working as an artist or heritage practitioner whose creative practice centres on Gaelic language, culture, and place, whether as an individual, partnership, or organisation, apply today!

Public Notice: Campbeltown Museum Temporary Closure

Campbeltown Museum will be closed from 23 February until 18 May 2026 to allow essential building works to take place. During this period, the museum will not be open to the public. While the building is closed, CHArts Argyll and Isles will continue to deliver any museum-related projects online and in the community as far as possible. We thank everyone in advance for their patience and understanding and look forward to welcoming visitors back when the improvements are complete.
