Here are just a few of some of our landscapes that we have at the Gallery currently!

As you can see there is a broad range of mediums and styles, from very talented artists. If you like these landscapes we also have a few seascapes that bring forward a range of emotions.

Landscape artworks can be a wonderful gift for someone, especially with Christmas not too far away.

We are excited to be apart of Aberteifi Live this year, the festival includes the talk series AWEN, four talks with artists, culture makers and facilitators about the importance of art, culture and inspiration.

Here is the Aberteifi Live festival lineup for the speakers for you to mark it in your calendars!

We are looking forward to hosting a couple of the talks that will be happening on 30th & 31st October. The first on the Friday at 5:30pm will have Dilwyn Davies and Hannah Firth in conversation about reflecting on working in arts management and creative programming in the past, present and future.

The second is Saturday at 4:30pm will be focusing on how culture has played a role in our Cardigan’s trajectory and will have Sarah James MBE Sarah James MBE and Anna Nicoll MS Anna Nicholl in conversation with Gethin Scourfield.

We have a new artist at Canfas gallery! This is Lyndon Thomas who is a Welsh artist who has been painting for over five decades! His windswept landscapes of Wales are imbued with understated beauty and guarded grandeur, made with acrylic on paper.

Thomas is interested in “human habitation within the landscape, habitation which is often isolated.” These are sights we often see throughout Wales, but Thomas has managed to capture the all encompassing feeling that is often felt in his landscape paintings.

Katie Allen and Verity Pulford with a joint exhibition at Canfas gallery open now until 7th November!

Come see how the charcoal paintings meet glass sculpture in a striking monochrome palette. Despite working in completely different materials, the single colour theme creates a seamless dialogue and makes every texture pop.

Join us tomorrow evening at 6pm to see these beautiful artworks in full!

You can meet the artists Verity Pulford and Katie Allen at our drinks reception as well the live music by Isaac Hare.

Here are some sneak peaks of the pairing, the artists works pair together beautifully with the harmony of their shared monochromatic palette and the duality of the texture from the different mediums of charcoal paint and glass.
