We have a breadth of artists under one roof here at Canfas. If you’re one of our regular visitors you will know that the exhibition spaces are evolving and changing as our solo exhibitions start and finish.

We have three floors of gallery spaces. Currently two solo exhibitions, one on the ground floor and one on the first. Eloise Govier and Michael Monaghan. Impasto paintings. Colourful and impressive.

In our basement gallery we have a wealth of stunning work. Prints, paintings and sculpture.

Featured artist: Rhian Eleri

Her delightful and colourful paintings have a textile quality to them.

“Although my work is loosely based on nature and has a somewhat floral feel, these compositions can get increasingly abstract as layers build and then … it’s just about the colours.”

Pop in and see our wonderful collections.

All work is featured on our website.

Reflecting on yesterday’s opening of our latest exhibition at Canfas, Cardigan ☀️

Thank you to everyone who popped in to meet the artists and to view their wonderful work.

Two solo exhibitions celebrating Impasto.

*Impasto is a painting technique where paint is applied so thickly to a surface that the strokes of the brush or palette knife remain distinctly visible. When the paint dries, it provides heavy texture, giving the artwork a tangible, three-dimensional quality that makes the paint appear to leap off the canvas.

Eloise Govier - West by Southwest

Michael Monaghan - Rhythm Forged.

Our exhibitions are in the gallery for the month of June. Pop in to see these wonderful paintings for yourself and admire the colours and textures achieved in these fabulous paintings.

A moving march today in Cardigan as the Red Line came to the town in a peaceful protest with supporters carrying the red cloth in a powerful show of support for the people of Gaza.
A highly emotional experience to watch and made us reflect on the importance of art as a form of protest.
