Mid week progress picture!

The first layers on the sea are just starting to go in and the rocks are still in progress. I love seeing a picture start to come together 🤩

Started dropping some colour into the rocks and now in the process of adding to the shaded areas so I can continue building up the layers.

I have a week off the day job next week so I might just get the chance to do a little bit more per day!

Working on the sky this week! It’s cold in the art room so progress is a bit slow 🥶

Finally I’ve had time to sit down and do some painting again!
A lot of progress has been made in my house renovation though!

The painting is along way off, it’s still majority under painting but the colours are coming together.
I’ve never painted a seascape before and it’s only my second attempt at oil painting, so we shall see how it turns out 🤷🏻‍♀️😬

What can I say, life’s busy! It’s been months, I’ve worked on my own house a lot!

But I have found my way back to my studio. This is only the first layer, I love the green in the sea 😍
I’m a little bit excited to see this take shape as if it is successful, it will be my first sea scape and only my second oil painting.
Wish me luck!

Life has just been... well, life really. Very busy!

So, it was so nice to get back into my little studio and start sketching the basic layout of my next artwork.

This will be a beautiful, calming and relaxing seascape 🌊

To me, art is always about evolving 🎨

I have been fascinated by the beautiful creatures who have featured in my recent drawings and paintings, from wild tigers to an elephant and her baby 🐅🐘

I’ve enjoyed bringing these untouchable animals to life and focusing on mastering a realistic approach to my artwork.

Now I’m ready for my next challenge. So I’m looking at what to focus on and I need your help.

Do I go with impressionist seascape scenes, or intricate botanical art? 🌊🌱
