It's the last day of Art Box.
I'm heartbroken - when I came here a year and a half ago it was my first ever curatorial position. In that year and a half the gallery has done so many things - we've staged an exhibition for Markscharityart Hotgs to raise money for Hospice of the Good Shepherd, we've released a book with TrinityBridge featuring 26 of our wonderful artists, and we've displayed art all over Chester, from The Chester Grosvenor to Picturehouse Chester. It's been a wild ride and not easy to manage as a one-fairy team, but it's been my pleasure.
We are open until 4 today - please come in and see the last few pieces we have remaining and keep supporting small local artists. I hope to see everybody around the art scene in the future, and I want to thank Rick the owner and the team at City Framers Chester for all of their support along the way. To all of my artists, thank you for making my year and a half what it was, and thank you for all your support and creativity.
