A lovely day planned!

Father’s Day weekend ideas!Please join us for a lovely traditional village fete 2-4pm. All proceeds to the Historic St Margaret’s Church, Acton Scott. Only £2 entry. Under 16’s free. Make it a full day out with a trip to the weekend Steam Event at . For the Steam Event park at the main farm car park and pay farm entrance fee. Season tickets available. If you also want to come to the village fete follow the signs on foot in the farm. (£2 adults on gate at the signed garden entrance. You can return to the Farm or cafe after visiting the fete. If you are only attending the fete please tell the parking marshal at the crossroads and they will show you where to park at the house.

Shires Edward and Bernie enjoying their well earned lunch today, in the beautiful stables built in the 18th century 😍

Originally, these stables would’ve been home to the carriage horses, used by the family living in the hall for transport. The cart horses were classed as working farm animals, so would have been kept in the cowhouse, a less ornate building in the farmyard.

Join us at Acton Scott Heritage Farm for a fun-filled day of learning, play and adventure for the kids! From milking the model cow in the play barn to enjoying traditional Victorian games and exploring the farm animal trail, there’s plenty to keep little ones entertained.

Meet our magnificent working shire horses, say hello to all of the farm animals, and enjoy lots of space to run around and explore in the beautiful South Shropshire countryside. 🌾☀️

Shires Bernie and Edward have been busy this afternoon, getting ready for work with the harnessing demonstration at 1.45pm and then doing some more harrowing on the stone picking land 🐴🐴
