Excited about the latest ring that I have just finished for the gallery. Gorgeous grey Moonstone cabochon (can you see the cat’s eye?). It's sitting securely in an 18ct yellow gold, "hug" of a setting.
Its companion, a tiny Tsavorite Garnet, sits on the other side of the band, perched high fir its size, set in 18ct yellow gold. Little guy, but vibrant green and a balancing component on this extremely comfortable, D-shape, sterling silver band.
I like it so much I think I will find it hard to part with. I have been enjoying working on two-stone pieces, with a dominant gemstone and a smaller, “satellite” stone with a more vibrant colour.
I am focusing on making pieces that allow me to be creative — pieces that excite me and distract me from the ugliness around the world at the moment... That and working on your commissions ( of course) is the only way to keep going at the moment. For me, that is...
What do you do?
What helps you keep going?
I'd love to know!
(Please keep it civil 😁)
