Thanks to everyone who visited Purbeck Mining Museum over the Swanage Railway Model Rail Exhibition weekend 11 and 12 April 2026. We hope you enjoyed your visit to the museum and all the extras this weekend including model rail layouts and the miniature railway.
Purbeck Mining Museum will be open weekends only for the rest of April, then Tues, Weds, Thurs, Sat and Sun in May. Opening times are 11:00 - 16:00, last entry 15:30.
Extra dates will be added for the Bank Holidays and school half-term - we'll post them here when we have them.

Purbeck Mining Museum will be hosting four layouts during the Swanage Railway Model Rail weekend 11 and 12 April 2026

We are also hosting the 5" ride-on miniature railway owned by AMR for which charges apply (£3 adult £1.50 child).
