As our Winter Exhibition comes to an end we want to shine a spotlight on these beautiful works by taken from the 'Scarred for Life' series.

Ted Meyer is a California based artist, filmmaker, author, TEDMED and TEDx speaker. Through his artmaking Ted portrays the beauty and humour of physicality while
exploring narratives of the human condition, and seeks to improve physician-patient communication and promote empathy through storytelling.

Works will remain on display until Mid April - When we begin our Summer changeover.

We are welcoming submissions to our Summer exhibition at University Hospital Coventry and would love to hear from you before the closing date of Monday 16 March.

Our spaces range in size from just under 5metres, up to 8metres with multiples available for larger sets of work or group exhibitions. Ideally we are seeking artists (or groups) who have a number of works available to loan, but we would consider single pieces if they are larger works.

We are a hospital so require all works to be framed and glazed with either glass or Perspex, even canvas works. Although we can offer display cabinets for smaller pieces, textiles and sketchbooks.

It is FREE to exhibit with us, and works can be offered for sale subject to UHCW Charity Arts Fund receiving a 30% donation from each sale to support our vital work.

To submit works for display please email [email protected] before the closing date of Monday 16 March and attach a short proposal of the work you would like to exhibit along with images and sizes (inclusive of frame).
Also, we would love to know what inspires you to create your work, and if in any way it represents or supports your own physical and/or mental health and wellbeing, or general health topics.

Works will be shortlisted and artists contacted soon after the closing date.

Please note: we will require works ready to hang from late April until September. We are therefore more than happy to consider digital/limited prints of original pieces if they are being exhibited at other venues over the Summer.

These rather lovely works are by Bruce McLean, Through charity funding we have been able to bring some beautiful pieces of art into our hospitals over the years. McLean also created our Main Atrium artwork - Healing Garden
