So, for the past few months, Mike's been doing a heart-transplant of his 1926 Model T Ford. On Saturday, it came alive again. A bit of fettling needed, but it should be ready for the new Show season.

One of our crew, Mike, has been overhauling the engine on his 1926 Model T Ford. The original restoration was completed 4 years ago, but some grumbly noises inside meant a check-over was needed. Water in cylinder 4, a warped head, and some knuckle-scuffs were enough to realise this was an 'engine-out' job. New valves, springs, seats, pistons, rings, gaskets, big and small end bolts, front/center/rear cam bearings, and an upgrade to adjustable push-rods from the standard fixed-depth, and some work relining the transmission bands and overhauling the transmission cover and pedals, then a paint-up, and it's ready to go back in... Sorry to bore you with these pictures but it's been journey...

We had a fantastic weekend of vintage exploration in the new forest despite the magneto failure.. we discovered it's not easy to find parts for a 99 Year old car.. we still had a fantastic time!
