An event aimed primarily at local preachers and worship leaders but open to all, an introduction to Godly Play as a method of developing spiritual practice for both adults and young people. We will highlight its relevance to Hugh Bourne and the Primitive Methodists, using some of the items in the Museum collection, and emphasise the importance of children’s spirituality.

Arts Council England describe the Museum Accreditation Scheme as "The nationally agreed standards to ensure all museums are sustainable, focused and trusted, inspiring the confidence of the public and funding and governing bodies."

Your local world-famous Alsager Book Emporium will be opening its doors this bank holiday Monday (in addition to its normal Friday and Saturday opening). Probably the best second hand charity bookshop in the north west, it's a great place for book lovers on a budget. All proceeds go to support your local Englesea Brook Chapel and Museum of Primitive Methodism.

Good news, book lovers everywhere! The world-famous will be open this Bank Holiday Monday, 10am to 2pm. AND we are still be open this Friday and Saturday as normal, 10am to 2pm. How lucky are you? If you are a book lover, very lucky indeed! Don't let this opportunity pass you by (although if you can't make it, don't worry, as we will be open the following week as normal, Friday and Saturday, 10am to 2pm). Come and have a browse.
