As part of the current 'Grubs Up!' exhibition, Victoria Bailey will be live in action in the gallery from 11:00am–14:00pm this Saturday 23 May, demonstrating how she creates her intricate silver lace works of art and jewellery.

This is a free, drop in session where you can watch the artist at work and explore the exhibition.

Victoria's stunning handmade jewellery will also be available to purchase.

Our latest exhibition 'GrubsUp!' is now on until Sunday 14 June.

Come and discover how artists have responded to the restored wildflower meadows, grass verges, hedgerows and wetlands that the National Park's 'GrubsUp!' project has been bringing back to life.

We are open daily, 10am - 5pm.

It's the last weekend of the North Yorkshire Open Studios Spring Showcase!

Honestly, what an exhibition it has been, thank you to every single person who came along just to look or let us know what you thought, everyone who voted in the people's choice award and everyone who took a work of art home.

When you buy a work from the gallery, you are sustaining local artists, and you are making a meaningful contribution to the North York Moors National Park.

We are open this weekend from 10am-5pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the last two days of the show, come and say hi.

Gallery favourite Anna Roebuck is returning to the Inspired by... gallery on Saturday 30 May for another workshop!

Spend a full day creating your own Wire Bee Sculpture for the garden. You will learn various metal working techniques to create a your own wonderful everlasting bee sculpture.

Want to learn how to make something like this?

Join fused glass artist Judith Gill in the Studio Gallery on Saturday 9 May to create your own piece of coloured glass jewellery to take home and wear.

The cost includes an afternoon of expert tuition, materials, equipment and the firing of your piece. Your design will be fired in Judith’s kiln and returned to Danby Lodge for you to collect and keep forever!

I've Bean Creative's ring making workshop is returning Saturday 18 April 10am - 1pm and we currently have just two spaces available.

Jewellery artist Geraldine Pattinson will guide you to create your own textured ring. You will spend a morning learning the basics of silversmithing to create two beautiful rings to wear and take away.

In this beginner friendly workshop you will learn:

Measuring and sizing
Cutting and filing

Ever fancied having a go at felting but not sure where to start? Take part in our 'Felt a Moorland Scene' for a day of tuition and making on Saturday 2 May from 10:30am till 2:30pm.

Learn the skill of wet and needle felting with pure local sheep wool. The fibres will be felted using a bamboo mat to create a piece of wool fabric with a background, then detail added with a felting needle at the end. Optional kit available to continue at home!

Spend the day in a small, intimate group with expert tuition to create something to take home, treasure and use.
