Deal Timeball Tower Opening Times for 2025

Easter: Friday 18th, Saturday 19th, Sunday 20th and Monday 21st April; 11:30am to 4:30pm
Spring: Saturdays and Sundays only from 3rd May to 1st June, inclusive; 11:30am to 4:30pm.
Public Holidays: Mondays 5th and 26th May; 25th August 11:30am to 4:30pm;
Spring Half Term
Wednesday 28th May to Friday 30th May, 11:30am to 4:30pm;
Summer season: From Wednesday 4th June to Sunday 28th September, Wednesday to Sunday inclusive; 11:30am to 4:30pm.
During this summer period, the Tower will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

The Timeball mechanism has been repaired and is back to normal operation namely 1pm daily drop on the winter schedule.

DEAL TIMEBALL FAULT
A major electrical fault has arisen in Deal Timeball Tower's operating system which has prevented the daily 1pm Ball Drop. Repairs cannot be made before early January.
Consequently Deal Museum Trust have to announce that this New Year's Eve illuminated Ball Drop scheduled for midnight on Tuesday 31st December 2024 is cancelled. Additionally the Timeball will not be open on New Years Day, 1st January 2025.
We are sorry for the inevitable disappointment.
