Very sad to hear the news of Mike Peters MBE, frontman of the music group The Alarm.

Prestatyn born, Mike was a long-term fund-raiser for cancer charities.

The Alarm was one of the few Welsh groups to break into the American music scene.

RIP Mike. You will be sadly missed.

The Denbighshire-born singer sold 5m records with The Alarm and lived with cancer over three decades.

HELP!!

Please can anyone assist me in how to transfer this page to a new Administrator?

At present it is linked between my own account ie I can switch from
one to another so would not want my own contacts list affected in the process.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Stay safe in these icy and snowy conditions.

It’s a long read but here goes…

As we approach the Christmas period, reflecting on our most successful season ever, it is now opportune for me to join The Elf and say goodbye as Facebook Administrator and Publicity person.

Reflecting on that day in March 2023 when a strong mix of alchemy of chance, prompted me to decide to visit the museum to see what was happening during its fourth month closure.

The Trustees had ceased the Cae Dai Trust the previous November.

Sparrow and two volunteers were in the office and an eerie quiet enveloped the museum.

With my background in tourism marketing with North Wales Tourism and having been involved in setting up a Denbigh Tourism initiative in 1990, the idea of the town having such a potential unique attraction, I suggested that I would design and project manage a new leaflet and implement ways to bring the museum back to life.

Last year 15,000 leaflets were distributed through NWT Distribution, a page was set up, and this year, the updated leaflets reached a wider audience bringing 3,368 visitors between April and November.

Sincere thanks go to our great volunteers who have made this journey possible and a special gratitude goes out to those wonderful people who have donated items to the museum.

Please do re-visit us and see your treasured items proudly on display in the museum.

With the new venture commencing as a Social Enterprise from this autumn, my very best wishes go to Directors, Sparrow, Gemma, Bob, Dennis and Barry.

Lastly, thank you all for your wonderful comments, Like and Love emojis with a special appreciation to Flos, who must surely be at the Top 🔝 of The Leader Board.

The museum has an excellent section on childhood Annuals: always a favourite in 1950s Christmas stockings.
