The Bird House, acrylics on canvas, H:61xW:91 cms. Really like it when I find a story in the paint rather than me dictating the outcome.

Thank you Derby Artists for the opportunity of joining this group. I paint from my home studio in Derby and am influenced by abstract expressionism. Places experienced and imagined inspire much if my work. I am working on a series presently based on Holy Island ( or Lindisfarne) and that northern area.

Thank you Derby Artists for the opportunity to join you. I am an artist inspired by abstract expressionism and work from my home studio in Derby. My paintings are often about places both experienced and imagined and colour plays a dominant role. This painting is one of a series I am working on based on Holy Island ( Lindisfarne) and that beautiful northern area.
