We wish to improve our own knowledge and understanding of how Dereham came to be what it is now, and share it with others. We believe that this will make Dereham a more enjoyable place to live, work, and visit.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday evening for a journey back to Tudor England 🌹 Chanter’s Jigge kept us all royally entertained with their debut performance of ‘A Tudor Portrait’, filled with Elizabethan music, stories and good cheer 🎶🍺

Join us on Wednesday 13th May as Chanter’s Jigge make a welcome return, this time with their musical performance, ‘A Tudor Portrait’. Expect two hours of music and story telling, including light refreshments in the interval ☕️

What an incredible day! Dereham Day 2026 was bigger and better than ever 🥳❤️

Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by our stall - not only did we raise over £110 for Dereham Heritage Trust, we debuted our new gazebo and got to meet so many lovely people - including some very tenacious young footballers and plenty of archaeologists in the making! 🔎

Thank you to all the organisers and volunteers who worked so hard to make the day possible 💙 We can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🎉🎈

Bishop Bonner’s Cottage Museum is now open every Friday & Saturday until 26th September 2026! 🎉

New for 2026, our exhibition ‘Sport in Dereham’ looks at the different sports and sporting clubs in Dereham from their origins in the Victorian period, alongside a temporary display exploring the Temperance Movement in Dereham.

We also have a brand new museum mouse hunt to keep our young explorers entertained… 🔎🐭
