Nerve Visual Gallery

Nerve Visual Gallery Nerve Visual gallery, Eighty81, the former army barracks in Derry-Londonderry which housed the Turner Prize during City of Culture 2013.

Nerve Visual’s focus is lens-based work, including photography, moving image and digital arts. We also partner with the Nerve Centre's Creative Centenaries project, using exhibitions and digital arts to engage audiences in themes of history, cross-community projects and education. Nerve Visual gallery is in Building Eighty81, the former army barracks in Derry-Londonderry which housed the Turner Pr

ize during City of Culture 2013. In summer 2016, the Nerve Centre re-opened two of the Turner Prize 2013 galleries as Nerve Visual, with Anne Tallentire’s Shelter project, followed by Gilles Caron - In Colour, Future Artist-Makers: The Exhibition and The Jill Todd Photographic Award alongside touring our exhibition projects across Europe. The two Nerve Visual 100 sqm galleries are the only climate-controlled gallery spaces in the city. Our extensive programme of workshops and creative sessions take place in a communal area adjacent to the galleries.
