The End of an Era for Bawtry
At the end of this month, Bawtry will say goodbye to one of its long-standing treasures as John Bird Studio closes its doors.
Over the years, John has become a much-loved and respected figure in our community, building not only an exceptional gallery but a place filled with creativity, craftsmanship, and character. Through his studio, he has showcased beautiful artwork from many talented local, national, and international artists, offering both original paintings and limited edition prints for all to enjoy.
John has also provided a first-class framing service over the years, trusted by prestigious schools, colleges, businesses, and countless members of the local community who have all benefitted from his expertise and eye for quality.
Of course, John is also an incredibly talented painter in his own right, with his own artwork admired by many, and before his successful career in the art world, he was well known for his achievements as a professional footballer and manager in his younger years—adding yet another chapter to an already remarkable life and career.
As John prepares to close this chapter, he has a wonderful selection of furniture, original paintings, and limited edition artwork available for sale before the shop closes.
If you have ever visited the studio, had something framed, admired the artwork in the window, or simply enjoyed a chat with John over the years, please do pop in before the end of the month, show your support, and perhaps pick up a special bargain while you can.

As many know, John has also been a good friend to me personally, and I have been privileged to work with him for many years as his printer at Mr-Prints, reproducing many of his and his artists beautiful paintings and artworks into print. I will always be thankful for the work, friendship, and trust he has given me over the years.
